A pitched roof usually tells you it's struggling before it fails completely.
Get yours looked at if you spot:
Slipped, cracked or missing tiles or slates, especially after high winds
Damp patches, water stains or leaks on the ceilings or in the loft
Daylight visible through the roof from inside the loft
Cracked or loose mortar on ridge tiles, or failed flashing around chimneys and valleys
Sagging or dipping in the roof line
Widespread moss, flaking or worn tiles on an ageing roof that's been patched before
Caught early, most of these are a simple repair. Left too long, water gets into the timbers and insulation below and a small job becomes a big one.
Whatever stage your roof is at, we cover it:
Roof repairs
Replacing slipped, cracked or missing tiles and slates, and putting right storm damage.
Ridge, valley and flashing work
Re-bedding or re-pointing ridge tiles, repairing valleys, and renewing lead flashing around chimneys and abutments.
Felt and batten re-lay
Replacing failed underlay and battens as part of a repair or re-roof.
Partial re-roofs
Re-covering one slope or section where the rest of the roof is still sound.
Full re-roofs and new roofs
Stripping and re-covering the whole roof, or roofing a new build or extension from scratch.
If your roof is leaking right now, we can attend and make it safe first see emergency roof repairs.
We work on every kind of pitched roof:
Clay tiles — traditional and long-lasting, common on older Kent properties.
Concrete tiles — hard-wearing and widely used on more modern homes.
Natural slate — a premium, long-life covering that needs proper handling.
Fibre-cement slate — a lighter, cost-effective slate alternative.
Not sure what your roof is covered in? We'll identify it, match any replacements properly so repairs blend in, and recommend the right approach for the roof you've got.
Not every tired roof needs replacing, and we'll never push you towards the biggest job. Here's how we call it:
Repair when the roof is fundamentally sound and the problem is localised — a handful of slipped tiles, a failed valley, damaged flashing.
Partial re-roof when one slope or section has failed but the rest of the roof has years left in it.
Full re-roof when the covering has reached the end of its life, water has got into the structure, or repeated repairs are no longer worth the money.
If the cause isn't obvious, a roof inspection traces it and gives you a written report before you commit to anything. And because fascias, soffits and guttering are often past their best on an ageing roof, a re-roof is the ideal time to sort those too — see fascias and soffits.

Yes, replacing slipped, cracked or missing tiles and slates is everyday work for us, and we'll match them to your existing roof so the repair blends in.
Often a repair or a partial re-roof is the right answer. We only recommend a full re-roof when the covering is at the end of its life or water has got into the structure — and we'll explain exactly why.
All pitched roofs, clay and concrete tiles, and natural and fibre-cement slate, on homes, extensions and commercial buildings.
It depends on the covering. A well-laid tiled or natural slate roof can last for decades. We'll give you a realistic expectation for the materials on your roof.

Move anything valuable out from under the leak, put a bucket down, and call us. On an emergency call we, make the roof safe and stop the water getting in, then arrange the full repair.
We aim to attend emergency leaks the same day across the ME area and out across Kent & Medway. We prioritise active leaks and storm damage.
Yes, slipped and missing tiles, lifted felt, damaged flashing and storm-related leaks are everyday work for us.
We'll always come out and make your roof safe, but we won't carry out a full repair at height in a live storm or high wind it isn't safe and it isn't good work. We weatherproof it to stop the damage, then complete the permanent repair as soon as conditions allow.
Both. For a flat roof that keeps failing, see flat roofing sometimes a re-cover is the better fix than another patch.
