Renew Your Flat Roof
For flat roofs, balconies and the awkward details a sheet won't fit neatly around, a liquid roof is often the better answer.
First Fix Response applies seamless, cold liquid-applied roofing across Kent and Medway, one continuous waterproof skin with no joints or seams for water to find. We're an accredited installer, so the systems we apply come with a manufacturer-backed guarantee and you deal with our own team throughout, a local roofing team who'll tell you honestly whether a liquid roof or a new flat roof is the right call for yours.

Local, named and accountable — the same people from the first call to the finished job. Fully insured, work-at-height trained, and covering the ME area and out across Kent.

Liquid roofing is a waterproof coating applied as a liquid and left to cure into one continuous, seamless membrane. Because it's applied cold and flows into place, it forms an unbroken skin over the whole surface including around pipes, upstands and awkward shapes where a sheet or felt roof would need joints. Those joints are exactly where most flat roofs eventually fail, which is why a liquid system can be such a durable, low-fuss solution.
Liquid roofing isn't right for every roof — but for some jobs it's clearly the best option.
We'd typically recommend it for:
Flat roofs — a seamless, hard-wearing waterproof covering, ideal for a re-cover over an existing surface.
Balconies and terraces — a walk-on, waterproof finish that seals right up to the edges and thresholds.
Valleys and gutters — lining and waterproofing the parts of a roof most prone to leaks.
Complex or awkward roofs — anywhere with lots of detailing, upstands or shapes that a sheet system can't follow cleanly.
If your roof is a straightforward flat roof, a sheet system like EPDM or GRP may suit you just as well. We'll tell you honestly which is the better fit. See flat roofing.
We're an accredited installer of multiple systems, which matters more than it sounds. Liquid systems only perform if they're prepared and applied properly, and the long manufacturer guarantee only stands when an accredited installer fits them.
That means the coating on your roof is applied to the manufacturer's standard, and you get a guarantee registered in your name not just our word that it'll last.
Both waterproof a flat roof; they just do it differently.
A liquid system coats the surface you've got, seamlessly, and is ideal for re-covers, balconies and complex details.
A sheet system, EPDM rubber or GRP fibreglass, is often the better choice for a standard flat roof replacement.
We'll look at your roof and recommend the one that genuinely suits it, not the one that suits us. See flat roofing, or if you're not sure what your roof needs at all, book a roof inspection.

A properly applied liquid system is long-lasting, and because we're an accredited installer, the systems we fit come with a manufacturer-backed guarantee. We'll tell you the guarantee period for the system we recommend.
Often, yes, one of the main advantages of liquid roofing is that it can re-cover an existing surface, provided it's sound and properly prepared. We'll check yours and tell you straight.
Yes, it gives a seamless, walk-on waterproof finish that seals right up to the edges and thresholds, which is why it's a popular choice for balconies and terraces.
It depends on the roof. Liquid suits re-covers, balconies and complex details; a sheet system often suits a standard flat roof replacement. We'll recommend the right one for yours, see flat roofing.
If it's an active leak, call us — we'll get it made safe first. An inspection is for when you want the full picture rather than an urgent fix. See emergency roof repairs.
Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham, Maidstone, Strood, Sittingbourne, West Malling, Aylesford, Faversham and across Kent & Medway.
Move anything valuable out from under the leak, put a bucket down, and call us. On an emergency call we, make the roof safe and stop the water getting in, then arrange the full repair.
We aim to attend emergency leaks the same day across the ME area and out across Kent & Medway. We prioritise active leaks and storm damage.
Yes, slipped and missing tiles, lifted felt, damaged flashing and storm-related leaks are everyday work for us.
We'll always come out and make your roof safe, but we won't carry out a full repair at height in a live storm or high wind it isn't safe and it isn't good work. We weatherproof it to stop the damage, then complete the permanent repair as soon as conditions allow.
Both. For a flat roof that keeps failing, see flat roofing sometimes a re-cover is the better fix than another patch.
