Repair when the run is basically sound and the fault is localised — a leaking joint, a broken bracket, one cracked section.
Replace when the guttering is old, brittle, mismatched or failing in several places — a full replacement is tidier and cheaper in the long run than chasing leak after leak.

My gutter is leaking — can it be repaired, or do I need new guttering?
Often it's a simple repair a resealed joint or a replaced section. We only recommend full replacement when the guttering is old or failing in several places, and we'll explain why.
Do you clear blocked gutters as well as repair them?
Yes, we can clear blocked gutters while we're on site. If clearing is all you need, see gutter cleaning.
Can you match my existing guttering?
Yes we work with uPVC, cast iron, aluminium and all the common profiles, and we'll match new sections to what's already on the property.
Do you repair cast iron guttering on period properties?
Yes we repair and replace cast iron and heritage guttering sympathetically so it keeps the right look.
Do you replace downpipes too?
Yes repairing, replacing and re-routing downpipes is part of the same job.

My roof is leaking right now — what should I do?
Move anything valuable out from under the leak, put a bucket down, and call us. On an emergency call we, make the roof safe and stop the water getting in, then arrange the full repair.
How fast can you get to an emergency roof repair?
We aim to attend emergency leaks the same day across the ME area and out across Kent & Medway. We prioritise active leaks and storm damage.
Can you repair storm damage?
Yes, slipped and missing tiles, lifted felt, damaged flashing and storm-related leaks are everyday work for us.
Will you go up on the roof in bad weather?
We'll always come out and make your roof safe, but we won't carry out a full repair at height in a live storm or high wind it isn't safe and it isn't good work. We weatherproof it to stop the damage, then complete the permanent repair as soon as conditions allow.
Do you repair flat roofs as well as tiled roofs?
Both. For a flat roof that keeps failing, see flat roofing sometimes a re-cover is the better fix than another patch.
